Peer-to-Peer file sharing has come a long way since the 2001 article we were assigned to read. It shows its age by mentioning over and over Napster, a file-sharing client that raised the beginning controversies of Intellectual Property (via the internet) and illegal downloading.

Of course, as everyone knows, the files you downloaded and shared were always in the public domain!
There seems to be a gap between: P2P users like yourself, who know the technology, the rights and responsibilities of file-sharing, and how to avoid the pitfalls; and the common rabble who just want free music no matter what the risks. What do you think are the long-term consequeces of this "digital divide"? Are the yahoos ruining for everyone? Will the tech-savvy find their own space?
